Top Speed headers installed...
Everybody welcome the newest member of the Do It Yourself Header Install club, ME!
No, I'm not posting up any how-to articles because you should do as I did, and SEARCH and read all the how to and trouble shooting posts it brings up. It helps.
Review:
The job isn't really that hard of a job, its just long, and the tight spaces can be very frustrating. My install was drawn out longer than usual because I did it around my work schedule. I do not recommend this job to the faint of heart, those with low pain tolerance, or those with no logistical ability to schedule rides to and from work if the car is your daily driver.
I installed a set of Top Speed headers that I bought NIB from a member here for a little more than what 2 tanks of gas cost.

Opinions:
My current setup is Top Speed headers, stock cats, Turbo XS catback. Other mods include K&N drop in, and MD 5/16 spacer. The headers definitely changed the sound of the car. It is a much smoother sound, and dare I say it, much like the stock note, only much more pronounced. Highway cruising has become quieter as well.
Verdict:
Many people say there is no power to be gained from headers and that it is a worthless mod. I think these people are wrong. Perhaps scared of an install lasting more than 2 hours? Before the install when I would go wot, the car would pull nicely of course, but as the revs got towards the upper limit, it would seem as though the power would level off, or begin to drop. Now the car feels as though it wants to continue lifting the nose up until the shift at red line. The power is there and it was noticeable on the first drive. I just don't remember being pushed into the seat that much previously. I'd go as far as to say that it reminds me of my heads/intake/exhaust 4.6.

glad to hear that you like them. up top is where id expect the gains to be, but it seems like everyone says they are lower in the RPM range than that. planning to dyno?

Congrats with the install. Add a pair of HF cats and it will really rip

Yeah, before I do a dyno, I'm waiting to pounce on a deal for HFCs. So far, all my mods have been had for pretty good prices, so I'm trying to maintain that trend. As far as where the power has come on, I would definitely say the top end, but I haven't mashed the loud pedal in the lower rpms yet.
congrats on the headers man...i recently installed strup headers in my Z and it really wasn't as hard as i thought it would be. Driver side installed in a little over 2 hrs but passenger side obviously was harder to do. All in all it took me about 7 hrs to do the entire job. Enjoy the headers
