Default exhaust question???

For an HR motor, can you interchange exhausts AND Test pipes for older models??

for example, would an 03+ exhaust and test pipe setup work for an HR motor?

or are there diff flanges/connections?

The HR motor has it's catalytic converters located differently than on the DE motors. Hence why 03-06 test pipes/hfc will not fit on HR motors and vice-versa.

However, the rest of the exhaust from the cats back is interchangeable. Bottom line: Any cat-back exhaust will fit any year model 350Z, regardless of HR or DE because both have the same exhaust routing from the cats back.

So to answer your question: the exhaust will work but the test pipes will NOT.

everything but the cats, ae. headers,Ypipe, and exhaust the flanges are the same jus the cats are located diffrently.so when searcheing everythign will work except for testpipes,HFC'S, etc.
