The piping is larger. The muffler is less restrictive and allows more free-flow. That accounts for the 5-6hp gains. I believe there is a marginal difference in weight, the Nismo weighs less.

Only replace exhaust system will gives you very minor gains, but with TP or HFC will be big diff story.
