Default Review on Crawford/Test Pipes/Borla

Muhahahaaaaaa...
I've had the test pipes for a few days now and boy do I love them. They're loud with the Borla system no doubt but very much worth it. I installed the Crawford Plenum last night and let me just say... if you think handling a M3 is impossible with a few bolt ons... think AGAIN. This combo is AWESOME. I stayed up until late, late last night running around trying things out and the power is just amazing all through the band. The craftmanship on the Crawford Plenum is not beautiful, however, it's not necessarily ugly either. I am getting some rattling in the pedals and so forth because I think the new Shock Sway Brace is touching something on the engine. The noise has quieted down a bit (either that or I have gotten use to it The Crawford add in did make some more of a difference, however, it was not as noticable as the downpipes. I truly understand how it is that stacking bolt-ons make less of a gain. Now the ECU should make a difference.

Oh... super PITA! I was busy smoking a Z28 last night and I flippin' kissed a road divider! iForged rim now has some war wounds on it...

Take a look at this. See if it has maked the bar. If so that is where your rattle is.

Do a search for LSDUNIQUE's test pipes. They are the least expensive but everyone that owns them have reported excellent quality. That's where I'm getting mine.

Prices:

stainless - polished $250
stainless - unpolished $220
mild steel with ceramic based coating $175

Do a search for pics.

lsdunique's test pipes are sweet. They are now mandrel bent and are definately a great quality for the $$$. I highly recommend his pipes! I got the SS & they where SWEET looking till I can't see them now that they're under the car! High grade professional quality!

Hey 3rdpower,

How did you like the JUN flywheel & UR pulley set? Do you recommend the upgrade? I'm looking at doing this upgrade next. Did you notice an improvement in acceleration, response, etc...? Thanks for any nfo man, enjoy your killer setup!

Well... I'm kinda waiting for a clutch for the JUN Fly Wheel It's sittin' in a box collecting dust

I'm not going to put on the main crank pulley... whoever is interested in buying hehee... harmonic distortion is just too big of an issue without dampening.

What made you change your mind?

You've got PM RE: the crank pulley.
