Thumbs up Back to the stock Exhaust after Topspeed.

Well couldnt take it anymore, I took off the topspeed insane loudness and put back on the stock muffler and midpipe.

So I still have on my Topspeed Y-Pipe and Test pipes.

Question IS, How much of a performance loss did I take going back to the stock exhuast? Isnt my exhaust still pretty free-flowing since I still have on a aftermarket y-pipe and test pipes?????

Ive been debating keeping it this way since I like the look of the stock exahust. The sound is SOOOO QUIET and sounds stock even with the y-pipe and test pipes. Theres the smallest bit of rasp around 3500 but its nothing.

At first I thought the car felt choked but after going for a 100 mile trip tonight it actually feels like the car gained a little bit of tork.

What do u guys think, keep it on or get another exhaust>???>?? I was thinking about the X02 HKS ripoff.

It cant be anywhere near as loud as Topspeed 3 inch can it??? Its the drone thats the death of Topspeed. U cant talk on the phone, listen to the radio, hear the radar detector...u cant hear anything. Its terrible. One must expierence it to understand. Its no joke...Its loud. Ive had Camaros with just open headers and this will completley dround them out.

This is with test pipes also.

This is completely subjective. I can tell you that your resonated test pipes will sound awesome with a Nismo cat-back.

Other idiots will say that the Nismo exhaust is weak-sauce and you need an overkill true dual exhaust.

Given the poor quality of the X02, which has been expounded many times by the members of this forum, I wouldn't think it's recommended.

Most people feel the loss in torque once they put on an aftermarket exhaust, it's good they you could get it back in a sense.

If I were you, I'd just sell the topspeed and go back to stock. The exhaust mod really doesn't do very much for our cars unfortunately.

Yea I Had Helix Test Pipes Before On My Topspeed And It Was Insanely Loud I Hated It. So I Sold Them And Got Kinetix Hfc's A Couple Days Later, Sounds Awesome Now. You Should Have Just Took The Test Pipes Off My Opinion!!!
