I just installed the injen true dual exhaust ses and its a little too loud...
I also got Helix v2 test pipes no res.

i was wondering if anyone is running this exhaust without test pipes...if its loud or not...

I'm thinking about taking the test pipes off to see if it will quiet it down some...i like the sound it gives out but its too loud. just wanted to see some peoples opinion before i do all that work to take the test pipes off...

Not sure how loud it is with test pipes, but i have factory cats and it produces a booming drone quite a bit. I almost put test pipes on, but decided not to because of the possibilty of rasp and even worse drone.

Do you get any rasp?

 

i have the injen ses ti tip with helix testpipes.....and YES they are really loud....without the testpipes the exhaust will be ALOT less loud....i had the exhaust without tp for a while and it sounded really good

 

whats booming drone sound like? what is it?
theres no rasp at all...i had TP with stock exhaust it was raspy




so did it have the same tone but not quite as loud?
was it a big different in loudness for you? i just want it to be a little quieter than what it is.

The drone sounds like a super crazy deep bass. It makes my ears hurt a little when im on the gas at around 1800-2300 rpms.

 

last time i heard the SES it was nothing but rasp
