The truth about the CAI!
So whats the truth about the cold air intake. Does it bring performace, or does it only bring noise? Which one looks like its the best (so far) for the 350z?
It brings minimal peformance and some increased engine note. Basicallly I have seen that Injen and AEM are approximately equal and Gruppe M is greater than those two (but much more expensive).
I would recommend the Injen, and that really says something, because I own the AEM! AEM is no longer one of my favorite companies. They sent me an incomplete kit that isn't great quality. Go with Injen unless you are bling enough to pay $650 for the Gruppe M.

Hey Reggi914,
I have the Injen & love it. The sound it makes is sweet, especially at WOT. Has a bit of a superchargerish growl to it. Some slight noticeable power increase(quicker throttle response + rpms don't go down too much during shifting). Install isn't too bad.(no need to take off the bumper). You shouldn't pay more than $250 for it. Is is a definate must have mod. Hope this helps. Good luck.
