Default What is the best exhaust for the Z?

Well I plan on getting a 350z in about a year at the most, and am making up a list for mods. The hardest part it seems, is deciding on an exhaust system. There's so many out there, that its hard to decide now. I've seen the Borla TD exhaust, and heard it I've gone to Injen website and seen there gains, but I don't like the coffee can mufflers and angled look, then there's the Nismo exhaust, which is warranted, but then again so is borla, then I find over at courtesyparts a JDM Titanium 3" exhaust system, not true dual though, and VERY expensive, but then again its still a 3" titanium system!! So what system should I decide on? Also, what is the piping diameter on the Nismo exhaust? And, which headers are better, Nismo or Borla? Thanks alot Z owners!

Dude, you have a lot of questions, the search function is your friend.

Exhausts are more of your tastes, although Injen is supposed to be coming out with some straight pipes soon. I believe most of the exhausts offered are 2.25 in diameter. As for the headers, the Nismos claim more HP, but they are far more expensive than the Borlas.

Unless you are going turbo for sure don't take in to consideration exhaust diameter. Do some research on exhaust velocity. Loosing to much exhaust backpressure won't be good.

I feel in love with the Exhaust note of the Nismo Catback and bought one from a guy in Matteson IL for $800.00 UPS charged me 209.55 for shipping though!!!!!! still cheaper than dealer than MSRP though. I also got a Nismo CAI from him for $270.00 includeing shipping to Va.
