Default Stillen vs. Injen Exhaust

Well...

I was going to get the Stillen exhaust becasue I like how it sounds and looks. Then I saw the Injen SES exhaust. It is $200. cheaper.

I was wondering if anyone has seen the new exhaust or heard it so I can get an opinion. Both exhaust have huge power gains.

SillentKiller - I think SportZ magazine did an exhaust shoot out that will answer exactly what you're asking. If you search around, you might find sound clips of both systems to help you decide.

Good Luck.

Can't find the magazine article.
Any opinions?????
I know I've seen many people with Stillen so it must be good.

Ohhh yeah....This might be the stupidest question in the world but.....Is Stillen a Japanese company or American Company.

Veilside and NISMO both raise hp about 6. Stillen, though it is heavier it raises hp by 13. Injen raises hp by 17 RWHP, and when I combine it with the intake I already have installed it puts out 23 RWHP together.

This is harder than I thought. I still like how the Stillen Sounds.

Wait a couple months - injen and greddy are both releasing new exhausts.

That's what I'm planning on doing, and I've got the borla sitting in a box at my house. I don't know if I can hold out!

Here is a pic of the Stillen on a 350Z that looks messed up from this angle IMO...

Here is the Injen Exhaust. It comes out at an angle but the tips look wierd. This has the largest performance gain.

Here's a pic of the Veilside exhaust which looks the best IMO. Only proble is that it doesn't have large performance gains compared to the other two. If I got this I would buy the SS piping with the Titanium tip ($1,425) THe full titanium weighs only 14.5 lbs. but costs $1,700.

Talking :)

People have brought up good points.

Overall what will affect your desicion is sound, weight, style, and power.

INJEN is coming out with a straight version real soon so I'm excited to see that. But that will be in probably 2 months time. All in all i think Stillen and INJEN are both good choices. All the cat back systems are relatively close in the power range

We just wrapped up the article for SportZ and it will be out very soon. We did several types of audio clips for each exhaust and should be up on www.sportzmagazine.com

Thanks for everyone being patient, I know its not easy!!

Maybe I will do that since the current Injen doesn't look that good. But what do you think of the others I posted pics of.

The Stillen sound very nice but is to heavy, the Injen sound little louder but the looks are not to Stock looking, the veilside if you have the money is the best of the two... but in my opinion the Borla Dual is the best Bang for the buck!

I am not a big fan of Borla. I like Stillen even though it is heavy, has a nice sound and looks. I love the Titanium tip for the Veilside. I have never heard the Veilside and don't know how it sounds or how loud it is. Anyone who has seen or heard the Veilside think it is loud?

Yeah, Veilside is my favorite as far as looks, it looks wonderful. Also it is lightweight. It has 2 of the things I want, but the other two might be more important for me, cost and performance. It is way too expensive, and it doesn't really make any more power than the Borla which is half the price.

I would like to know what the decrease in weight of the Veilside would do to performance relative to the Borla, though. Also, I am pretty certain that the Veilside is not a catback system like the Borla, so that is another strike against it.

I am doing a show car not a race car. That's why performance wise I am only puting in an intake, exhaust and grounding kit. The rest are all fo show. This exhaust looks cool, sounds nice, and is lightweight.

As for if its a cat-back or not I will get back to you on that.
