Default installed exhaust cockpit is hot!

I just installed my nismo exhaust and noticed that the inside of the car seems to be hot. I'm thinking because it doesn't have a heatshield. What can I do to decrease the temperature inside?

Turn on the AC.

Or try a heat wrap, i think people use that with their intakes...its debatable if it works or not

That doesn't decrease the cabin temperature, only the effect of the cabin temperature on the driver.

z's are notorious for having warm leg-spaces... it's so close to the engine bay, all the heat from there blows right into the cabin. i don't think your nismo exhaust has anything to do with it.

You should send that Nismo exhaust to me for further test.

Drive faster, youll get more airflow to cool the hot exhaust.

Some of the response were inconsiderate such as.... "don't drive the car"...very immature... I asked for help not a female dog. It's as simple as this...I installed the exhaust I happen to feel a bit warmer inside, I thought about making a custom heat shield, because the OEM has it on.

good suggestions were: a/c, windows down, drive a bit fast, etc. but I don't really want to change my driving routine for my exhaust... I think heat shield will be the best bet....

thanks for the serious one and excuse my back to the clowns

Did you get a new Y pipe , having a Y pipe without the heat shields on it will cause a little extra heat. Just wrap your Y pipe if you can't deal with the heat, or wait another month and it won't be to bad for the next 5 months.
