Definetly don't use them if you are using your stock cats.
A complete waste of time and $$$.

YES DEFINTLY! WHAT IS THE PROBLEM WITH THE NON-REVUP MOTOR? IT MAKES PLENTY OF LOW TO MIDRANGE POWER BUT NOTHING UPTOP. WITH MY LONGTUBE HEADERS THERE IS A CONSIDERABLE GAIN PAST THE 4500 RPM MARK.

EVERYONE KNOWS THAT THE MOST RESTICTIVE PART OF A Z'S EXHAUST ARE THE CATS. WHEN THE CATS ARE REMOVED IS WHEN WE SEE REAL GAINS. NORMALLY PEOPLE UPGRADE BY DOING TEST-PIPES. THIS IS AN IMPROVEMENT BUT YOU STILL HAVE THE RESTRICTIVE FACTORY HEADERS. I FIND THE OEM HEADERS TO BE VERY RESTRICTIVE BECAUSE THE EXHAUST GASES MEET TO SOON. SO NOW YOU UPGRADE HEADERS AND HAVE BETTER FLOW. NOW LONGTUBE HEADERS KILL TWO BIRDS WITH ONE STONE. YOU GET RID OF YOUR STOCK HEADERS AND CATS FOR A DESIGN THAT MAKES EXHAUST GASES MEET AT THE LATEST POINT WHICH IS RIGHT BEFORE THE Y-PIPE. HAVING THE GASES MEET THERE ALLOWS FOR INCREASED AIR VELOCITY WHICH INTURN CREATES MORE HORSEPOWER.

Huh? What longtube headers allow you to use stock cats? If that were the case they wouldn't be called longtube headers.

So you have them already? Then just for my own knowledge what is the point of this thread? Are you trying to see if there is a market for a product that you have created? If that is the case, then thats cool.

Can you post pictures of said longtube headers please (this is not a call out to see if you really have them, I just would actually like to see the ones you fabricated or had fabricated for you).

Yeah, I read it too quickly.

All caps is distracting.

I've seen a few pictures of longtube headers specifically for the Z/G on eBay and I thought I've seen some threads on here before this one? It's definitely not a popular mod.
