Default Intakes?

I just got my Z, and I am considering an intake and I would like to get some opinions as to which is the best. I have an 08 Z. I want the nismo, dual intake, but I don't know too much about cars. Which would be the best?

The popcharger dual intake is a good choice, and isn't expensive.

OP, the only intake I would consider would be the Injen intakes. I have the fujitas and they may come off soon for the injens.

save yourself the hundreds of $'s on aftermarket intakes and just buy some K&N drop-ins.

+3 on the K&N drop-ins. All you're gonna get with the aftermarket intakes is extra noise up front and a slower Z.

I have used the pop charger and it was fine, but I hated the way it looked. Very ghetto looking imho. The Nismo intake is sexy and does a better job I think.

They are expensive retail, but not too bad as an after market part.

lol same reason why I have the nismo instead of the popcharger. Just looks ghetto IMO.

but as far as best bang for buck. either pop chagers or k & n drop ins will do fine.

So was there a dyno that proved that the Injen dual intakes did not make power? There is a Z running these that is making 318hp to the wheels...

I can't believe that all these people have never used a forum before. Searching isn't hard.

I'm starting to disbelieve all of the hype over the stock 06 box. I've seen cars on the dyno making great #s with CAIs. I was outpowered recently by a car with less mods. Guy put down 15 more HP and had a CAI. But the shop didn't have a fan in front of our cars either. So I dunno. Seems like a lot of the guys making 280-ish+ are using CAIs.
