i just installed it the other day, and noticed a few things.
1. its NOWEAR as loud as everyone said! its actualy a little too tame for me! (cat pipes soon!!) wot is nice, but other than that, it could be louder! the more i drive, it the more it grows on me though! much deeper than my tanabe!
2. after i installed it, and ran it for 15min or so, i noticed a smell! it smelled like burnning paper! i got out at the stop light, and my pipe was smoking!!!! not too much, just a little. my only guess is that, one of those gastkets is off a little bit and im burning it off. it has since become less noticeable, but the smell is still SLIGHTLY there. anyone else have this happen??? this is the second exhaust i have installed on my z, and i dont remember this happening with my first one? but the inside of my old gaskets were burnt some!

 

It's completely normal. It should go away after 15-30 minutes of driving.

 

When I first installed mine, It was smoking all over the place and I thought that it had a leak. But after while the smoke goes away and the great sound comes back.
