Question for all INJEN Exhuast owners???
Is it me or in all the pics I have seen, it looks as if the Right tip angles more than the left one. Do u understand what im saying, they dont look as if they are at the same angle.
Is this true, or just the way the pics were taken.

i tried my BEST to get them perfectly even! but i cant! the right is just a little off! i was going to post this same question, but after looking at EVERY pic i could find, not one was straight!
and one more thing.... how much longer do i have tp put up with this burning smell???? its been like 3 days and every time i get out i smell this burning paper smell!! im getting tired of it!!
mine are pretty dang close to being perfectly even. But the right side is a tad off. you really have to stare at it at the right angle to notice though. My left side has left a bit of a mark on the bumber, but nothing serious you cant notice it at all. The z tends to run rich, or spit ot alot of carbon, cause I get alot of build up on the back of my car. Even with the stock exhaust I had this problem. Anyone else notice this. My car is white so it is easy to see.

I think the right side is angled badly, but it's the left one that's causing problems. The left exhaust is slightly shorter than the right one and it actually burned into my rear bumper.

Also, I did notice the left side is leaving a dark mark on the bumper, but it comes off easily. My Eclipse did the same, from running rich. It really is NOT a big deal.
I do wish the piping was bent more evenly though.
I still love the exhaust.

I wonder if a body shop or something could bend the pipes so that thay both come out at the same angle. The move would be so slight that I dont think it would hurt perfomance a tall, what do u think.
I've thought of the same, but don't know any shops with mandrel bending machines. Well, there may be some out there, but don't know of them yet. Will have to search, but I agree it will be a slight bend that may not affect performance.
Yeah I guess when I get it the exhuast I will have to do that because I like to have things on my car very symetrical. You might even be able to use a blow torch to heat the metal pipe up and bend it some.
How about if we all write to Injen about this issue so they fix the problem and/or replace our pipes. You shouldn't have to go out and pay someone to bend the pipes on an exhaust the costs $700.00. If enough people give Injen the feed back that the Z community will not tolerate this uneven pipe issue. Maybe they will do something about it? I also have the Injen exhaust and I love the sound and performance, but I also have the exact same issues as everone else does who has installed the Injen SES duel exhaust.
im also starting to notice the "carbon" over my left tip! im only assuming its going to get worse with test pipes! wich upsets me somewhat because i was ASSURED by injen that this had been fixed!! this is the second exhaust i have put on this car, and i feel MUCH better about this one! i can get over the fact that they are not completly even, and the carbon over the tip, cuz im sure its easily removed. but I CANT STAND BEING LIED TO!!!! i love this exhaust! the sound is sweet, the tips are aggressive, and my overall experience with injen has been good! but phillip@injen, if your listening WTF! i know it wasnt you i talked to, and its not fare for you to take the heat, but i dont know who else to vent to! how about injen replaces the back left section of pipe with one that comes out even with the other one, and DOESNT leave carbon on my bumper! ( like i was PROMISED!!) that would make me a satisfied customer again! h@ll, if tanabe was wiling to replace my ENTIRE exhaust at their expence, to stand behind their product, and word, i KNOW that injen can do the same!! PLEASE dont prove me wrong!!
I'm willing to send off my piping and allow them to modify it. Granted, I can be without my Z for a few days because I have a 2nd car, but not everyone will be able to do the same or without their exhaust.
I'll send them an email as well and post a link to this thread.

Chill.
Phillip@injen has been great and I do think that Injen recognizes the power of promotion that this board has. I can tell you that one of the reasons I purchased the Injen exhaust was because of sound clips I saw here and other Z owner’s testimonials. I had an issue with my vibramount for my Injen intake and Injen was quick to send me a replacement part no questions asked. I feel Injen is a quality company and will do anything they can to ensure all of their customers are completely satisfied with their products. A friend of mine is an exhaust expert and designs custom exhausts. I am taking my car to him on Monday to see if he can lower my left (passenger side) pipe some so it is not so close to the bumper. If this can be achieved I think my exhaust will be perfect. As far as the angles being different I am not sure I noticed that on my car but I have seen it on others in pictures members have posted. This will be the fourth time I have had my exhaust adjusted. Hopefully everything will be corrected this time around. I will also say that these issues have not changed my opinion Injen’s high quality parts and service. I will still recommend this exhaust to any Z owner, the Injen exhaust yields the highest hp gains of any exhaust currently available for the Z. And the sound, will you all know how deep and exotic the exhaust is…

Dude, they promised you it would not BURN your bumper, as the original prototype had a tendancy to do. ANY aftermarket exhaust is going to leave carbon deposits.
Chill.

like i said, i can get over the carbon.......but when i called them, and asked them about it, they never said it was going to leave carbon, they SWORE it wasnt!! the carbon itself i can get over! but i HATE being lied to! if they wouldve told me that any exhaust is goint to do that, then i wouldnt be upset! (allthough my tanabe didnt! ) and i still wouldve bought the ses! i love the exhaust, and they had my money already, there was no need to lie to me!
I took this picture from slighty to the right of center in an attempt to mask the difference between the two tips. As you can see, the right side still comes out at a sharper angle. They just don't come out even. I have tried adjusting everything, but no luck. I still like the exhaust a lot, but would like to see Injen come out with some type of fix for this.
