hmm, mine's sitting on my sway bar and rattles occasionally too. This is the only problem I have with mine. I don't hear any rasp and the loudness is perfect, not too loud, not too soft. Attempted to twist the damn pipe but i don't see many ways to adjust it. Going to attempt to fix it again this weekend.

Anyone got some pics of the right midpipe and swaybar from the rear of how it's supposed to be like?

Fast Intentions. That's my only response I can give u to help.. I never heard one complaint about it. People who like loud exhausts don't like it. Otherwise it's amazing. I can't wait to put mine on.. Have them go with my test pipes. Which are amazing.

I tried adjusting mine before, it moved a little, couldnt get it to move the suggested 75 degrees. It doesnt rattle, but its literally like a mm or two away from the sway. I may give it one more shot then take it to a muffler shop. Should be a very very cheap fix.

^^ yeah you just need to rotate it one way or the other... loosen your clamps good, and than it will take you some good force, but you should have minimum 3/4 " to 1" of clearance.

I cannot speak for the OP, but mine looks just like that. You can also see the welds on that picture, they are fine, and the metal looks to be very good quality. After 6 months mine is like new. I think the OP just has a very pessimistic mechanic, or he wanted to build trust by knocking this exhaust by "watching out for him"

ok, fixed the rattle; was pretty dumb actually. Loose bolt on cat retentioners was the main source. and added ghetto fix to the sway bar w/ a $1 hose clamp from HD on the rubber hanger to lift it up a bit.

I also recently purchased a Bassani TD exhaust for my 03, and I too am having some dissapointments. The bassani system sits on the rear sway bar causing some annoying rattle (Which i was told can be fixed if you wrap the sway bar with headers tape, but i expect better for an exhaust that cost this much). As for the sound, it sounds good. I can't be happier with how loud n deep it sounds. Im actually thinking about getting TP since I don't think it's loud enough. I too am getting some rasp, but only at higher RPM when i really step on it. As for looks, well the stock tips looked sooo much better than the Bassani. And sometimes my exhaust also sounds"WEAK" lol? If i had to do it over again, I probly would still get the same exhaust. THere isn't an exhaust out there for the Z that gives it a loud/deep/aggressive tone IMO (Borla comes close).

well like gsingh said if you dont like it, get rid of it. Thats what i did and hey he is happy with it from it seems like. O dont get tp for that exhaust honestly. I think you will just loose to much low in and wont like it at all. Thats why i never got any for when i had it . Now i have fast intentions resonated test pipes with tananbe medallion touring exhaust and love it, it sounds like the bassani kinda but you get a great butt dyno feel at 2,400rpms. I love it. If you want to hear it, read my review thread and see what you think.

I found out Bassani changed there design. They seem to now fit the Z much better so the sway bar/X brace has been fixed. Also the tips are much better looking. So a lot of changes for their design. Sucks that im stuck with the older model :C Good thing it sounds so damn good
