Well as you guys no from my last post i got the exhaust and test pipes, as listed in the title. O boy, O boy, I can most defiantly feel a power gain. The in cabin noise is low when cruising around 1k to 2k, depending how much your foot is on the gas pedal and when you get on it you start hearing all those beautiful engine notes come right on out and screaming for speed. You start feeling the power come in at around 2,400 on up. Over all, im glad that i went with resonated test pipes and the exhaust, i think its a good combination and would recommend it to someone looking at this exhaust.

O and by the way this is with stock Y-Pipe.

Well here is a video that i did today of the exhaust. First rev it up to 3k and then to 6k and from that all over the rpm area.

What is that metallic buzzing? Probably rasp.

 

ya, i thought that to but i think it might be just a loose something on the exhaust, im going to have to find out the source to that sound. Because it comes mostly from the back and in the video you see water i think dripping down and it looks to come from were the bolts are at.

ya its the tanabe medalion touring exhaust with fast intentions resonated test pipes. I live in the north east side of san antonio. On the weekend i go to car meets and if you want to meet me out there you could?

 

the metallic rasp ur hearing is from he test pipes. i got that too right after i instaled my test pipes .. i dont think there is a fix to that

I've been waiting for two years for someone to try this set up. I've wondered if it would be tolarable being a quiet exhaust to begin with. Most singles with tp's are waaay loud...like nismo and test pipes.


I love the look of the tanabe muffler and the tips are perfect too.

 

not rasp, but that would be having a stock ypipe with the test pipes. Aftermarket ypipes will elminate that annoying sound.

 

^ aftermarket y-pipes will NOT eliminate rasp.

OP what meets do you go to on weekends? i heard of one at the 1604 and that new academy on thusdays....have you gone?

ya, that one you talking about is the one i go. the bad news is my car is kinda taken away for a certain reason...... Ill agree to show the video because honestly i think the sound quality matches that of what you hear in real life. Just for my defense i paniced ok....

ya they are. I have been taught better than to run. Just when i applyed my breaks the other 350z came up pretty fast in my review mirror. So i paniced and hit it, I didnt stop panicing till i got half way down the road were the cop lights turned on. Boy, did i learn a leason, S.A main police station holding cell can really wake you up to reality.

I think the reason why the first exhaust video didnt sound good was because i had mic gain up on my video camera... I turned it off and it sounded alot better, from what i heard from those videos on that race.

 

my tanabe y pipe and berk metallic high flow cats and nismo midpipe/muffler have that same sound.

 

damn you got some ***** son, been there before plenty of times I was fixing on going to that meet tonight just that i got a test tomorrow so i won't be able to roll out. next thursday i will for sure be going though

 

ya its no problem. I was only there for five mins and i cant really drive my car there for a while . Ya, School first then fun stuff later.
