Default Megan v2 Test Pipe Question

I'm looking at getting a new exhaust, the Greddy EVO TT. I have the Megan v2 Resonated Test pipes. Their specs are:

ID 2.25", OD 2.5"

So, will they be a bottleneck for the EVO TT exhaust? Do I need to get new pipes? What are some good pipes to go with for a TT setup along with the Greddy exhaust?

I'd go with 3'' test pipes for FI.

Wow you're twin turbo'd and running 2.25" diameters?!

I would definitely move up at least 2.5" or above!

What 3" test pipes are the most common? I've looked at a few build threads, and most don't list their test pipes.

Instead of looking for "test pipes" search for "downpipes"

Can I get anyone to tell me the difference between a down pipe and a test pipe? I've always wondered this, but have never learned. I would appreciate some pictures to show as well.

Technically speaking a downpipe is the pipe between your turbo and your cat. Lately people have been calling the testpipes by that name too.

So, basically a downpipe replaces this (what I have)

and the cats/test pipes? Are there no 3" test pipes available? I can't really find them, unless I'm looking wrong. Also, I just found out the Greddy TT exhaust is only 2.75, so it looks like maybe the APS exhaust would be the way to go then?

Well the name changes for a turbo it's "downpipe" and for a NA engine it's a "test pipe".

Actually those are called the turbo outlet. Test pipes or down pipes connect to them. Our cars really don't have a down pipe, since the Cat is directly mounted to the outlet. Most cars have a pipe from the outlet to the cat, that would be an actual downpipe.

But, that is included with the JWT kit. So, that is what my test pipes connect to - correct? Why are downpipes $400+? If its just a longer test pipe...

Len go on YIM lol
