Question on test pipes
Will test pipes or straight pipes turn on my check engine light or have any bad effects on my 2003 z

most likely you wont have a SES light. Since its an 03 your pretty safe with the TPs.
the bad effect would be now you are catless and polluting more than your suppose be...

No CEL on a 2003. Just a bit more power and a louder exhaust note.

No problems with mine.
Smells a little of gasoline when you're a stop though.

if installing by your self just take it slow. With the right tools/extension its a breeze...

lol too true on the install being a PITA! the manifold bolts are hard to get unless you have a hydrolic lift which makes it 10000000000x's better! lol

For install... YOU NEED A 14mm DEEP. Other than that 3 10 inch extensions did fine for me.
And I would expect a GAIN in gas mileage over stock cats.
