not being a dik but if u cant take the drone put ur OEM cats back on. Out of all 9 exhaust iv had every1 has droned bc of my tps. Do i care? No do i know how to get rid of it? Yes, OEM Cats
i just think that metallic high flow cats caused the sound to get louder

no way the HR is not like the DE. any ways never mind this thread was useless.
wait test pipes are going to make the exhaust louder. but will they decrease the drone at low rpms which what i'm tring to lower. i mean my exhaust is not loud past2.500 rpms. just wondering if tp would have less drone at lower rpm mainly at highway cruising

yeah prob right. maybe i'll try a new set of crawford HFC ceramic. some people say that metallic cats have diferent or louder tone. i dont know. i'll post if it works and sell my berk if not that hell with it
Ceramic utilize ceramic substrates. Metallic use metallic spun substrates and flow better than ceramic, hence why they tend to sound similar to test pipes..
I seriously doubt test pipes will have less drone. Just in case you didn't know, test pipes are empty pipes, meaning there is no substrate to burn the harmful gases that come from our engines. It flows more than anything else, because it's a hollow pipe.
A quiet exhaust = Tanabe Medallion Touring, Nismo (with stock cats), and I heard Stillen isn't obnoxiously loud either..

HKS is pretty damn quiet.
OP, it sounds like you know the answer to your question. If it sounded better with the ceramic cats, then find someone to either trade, or sell the MHFC and buy the CHFC again.
BTW, did you happen to have a sound clip of your setup with the HKS and ceramic cats?
