Default Exhaust Question: I need help from experienced 350z owners

Hey gents,

let me start by saying I have used the search button and I have gone to youtube, to listen to different exhaust notes. I need your experience on this one. I just bought my 350z and want an exhaust. I want some with a slightly more aggresive exhaust note, but NOTHING raspy honda-ish or loud enough to attract the WRONG attention.

I am really interested in the HKS hi-power but worry that it is too loud. Does it make any gains? It looks fantastic IMHO

I am also interested in the Greddy EVO2 and the fujitsubo legalis-R. I want power, performance, look and weight savings. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

The best is the Fast Intentions Intimidator.

Here's what it sounds like.
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/N18RmcuyV38&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/N18RmcuyV38&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

And it gets good power as well.

get nismo. Youll be happy with it. Imagine your stock exhaust note but a little louder. Keeping the 350z sound

best advice anyone could get - are there any local 350z owners you could go meet up with, check out their exhaust note? vid clips don't do any exhaust justice.

hks doesnt sound that loud to me but i dont think it sounds good at all either. Look into the new motordyne line looks amazing and gains are proven already.

No one else makes one specifically for the HR either. But they all share the same dimensions from the cats back.

They fit both the HR and DE engines.

The dual this weekend.

BTW... Does anybody know where I can download a quicktime video editor? I have the Harakiri single exhaust video on the dyno but I need to edit out a bunch of un-needed video between the dyno runs. ...Its too much to upload to u-tube.

get a used borla exhaust with the magnaflow x-pipe and your set. any exhaust is gonna gain between 3-5 horsepower of eachother. the borla has that deep sound and is quiet. i have it on my car that makes 282 hp to the wheels on a mustang dyno

If you want proven power ,great sound you can adjust the sound from melow to exotic, light, good customer sevice, and most important great quality I would go with the any of motordyne exhaust.

Fast Intentions great exhaust 2nd to motordyne.

HKS good exhaust but over raided IMO.

XO2 cheap n price and quality is so so.

But most important check out the way they look, and sound in person at your local Z meets.

Fast Intentions Intimidator or Borla True Dual. You can't go wrong with either - both fit EXACTLY what you're looking for. I also know for a fact that the Borla weighs 12-15lbs less than the OEM exhaust. If you get HFCs or test pipes for it, just add a Magnaflow X-Pipe 11385, and you've got the best sounding exhaust out there.
