Default BB Dual Exhaust and AEM Cold Air Intake

has anyone happen to have installed a B&B True Dual Exhaust and an AEM Cold Air Intake? how were the results and the installations? was it worth the price? can you feel a difference? any input would be nice. thanks.

Return the AEM. 90% of the owners here showed ZERO gain on a dyno. Even one of our guys lost as much as 10hp...

well actually. injen WAS the first one that i purchased but i was having problems with it because of the way i have set up my system. the plastic panel that is between the grille and the intake filter was cut out to create max air flow. i even took that plastic piece and instead of just throwing it away i set it to where air that goes through the grille goes strait into the intake filter. i was hoping this would route more air into my cold air intake and create a little bit more power. i guess you could call it a sad attempt at a ram air :-P. well with the injen it sits a bit lower than my aem does and the injen has NO bypass valve. i mean you can look THROUGH the grille and see the filter. so i went with the aem because i wouldnt have to worry as much about the water because i have a bypass valve on it right now. plus the aem sounds better :-P. the exhaust is coming thursday hopefully so i should have it on by friday. i will get a second dyno in and if anyone here is from georgia. i will be up at barret(town center) with all the other ricers to show off the exhaust :-P.

ohhh btw my aem showed a gain of 3hp after installation and 2hp extra after routing the air to go strait into the intake. so yea i think my aem is outperforming most injens at this point. plus it has the bypass valve and has a very nice whistle that ALMOST sounds like FI whenever you have like 30-50% throttle at around 3000-5000RPM. and has a nice roar to it whenever you add a little extra gas to the mix :-).

If a CAI shows ANY gain on a dyno it is because the stock airbox is not building any pressure. With the hood down and sealed, and the car at speed... the stock airbox makes .06 psi.

CAIs will NOT yield ANY gains in the real world.

They sound good, that's about it.

Not yield any gains

I'm not that familiar with how the Z intake is set up but I know on LS1 cars a simple change in the lid is a consistent gain of about 8HP on the dyno and 1-2 mph on the track.
I'm sure there is a positive result from getting cooler air...and more of it into the engine.
