Default Gf buying first mod...what shall it be?

Okay, I don't think I'll ever do more than bolt ons, so all the little mods I do now will probably be staying on the car. I like how the stock exhaust sounds, but would like it to be a bit louder, and if I do replace it later, it will be a stock style exhaust, I'm not a true dual guy.

Anyways, I'm installing a new complete stereo system and Sirius Sat in my g/f's car and in return, getting her to buy me my first mod. I am thinking RESONATED test pipes, or an intake. So, what do you think? I kind of like the idea of getting a little more growl from the exhaust, and maybe a few ponies to boot, but of course an intake will be taking me in the right direction. I've been searching and narrowed it down to these...

Resonated pipes:
1. Top Speed from Intense for $149
2. Ichiba from Z-1 for $189
3. Megan from Ebay for $165

Seems Top Speed may be the way to go for price, and I've read good reviews. Opinions?

Intake:
1. Stillen - I may have to cover some of this cost though. It's the only intake I'm considering.

My threads always turn into books, sorry. What do you guys suggest? Either way I'll most likely end up with both down the road, but I'm excited for my first mod ha.

Judging by your public profile, you have a lemans 350z, which mean it must be from 03-06. So throw out the idea of a intake. Just add a k&n filter. And I cant recommend a test pipe, but stay away from ebay stuff.

Screw exhaust and get some decent coilovers. I should've listen to everyone when they said suspension first.

Stay away from Megan.....Garbage. If the above are the only three choices, I would go with Intense Tp. Have you even thought about Strup TP? I personally have them, and they work flawlessly. Intake wise, Stillen is ok. Why is Stillen the only choice? There are tons of intakes out in the market that are just as good as Stillen, if not better. HKS, JWT, ARC, Injen,....etc.

Car is an '06 Touring 6MT

I guess Stillen doesn't have to be the only choice, but from what I've read, a more expensive cold air intake doesn't do much on the Z. A Pop Charger is a good bang for your buck, but could possibly negatively affect idle, and I've read about heat soak and occasional stalling. And the Stillen does not, but improves over the stock airbox?

Strup makes resonated pipes? All I've been able to find are non-resonated, which I'm not looking for.

And suspension, I don't know if I'll ever do that? I don't see needing it for my driving, but it's out of the price range right now anyways...

I honestly wouldn't mess with any bolt ons other than maybe a plenum spacer and exhaust (for sound). Save your money for FI down the road. Bolt ons will just be a big disappointment for the most part.

You have to think considerate though. I don't know how you guys feel but my wife spending 1k on suspension alone means bad business for you in the long run. Gucci, Prada, Louis Vitton etc. Plus I hate aftermarket springs. To me they are just... Cheap and don't belong on a 350z.

best bang for buck...plenum spacer...Motordyne...and it fits into your price range...will add deeper and louder tone to your car...not a lot deeper but you will notice it...if not just get a JWT pop charger for kicks...

The first mod is like having a baby. It is exciting. Why don't you pick what is most important to you?
