TXS is one of the better catbacks you can get for that price. It's not a replica based on other designs or OEM. Reputable company for replica prices. The only downside is the y-back and y-pipe for the TXS has to be used in conjunction with each other. It's designed that way, so it's incompatible with other aftermarket y-pipes or y-backs. It's just something to keep in mind if you decide it's something you may want to change down the road.

Edit2: uhh lol nvm 500 on their own site, someone is trying to scam on eBay well for $500, it does seem like a nice competitor to the nismo exhaust, anyone agree?

Thanks Z1, i will consider this and hopefully have the money if your still not sold out In my opinion the only downside to this exhaust is the look (the tips look like my sisters acura tsx tips, the actual pipe is 2.5 inches big lets say and the tips are just add ons to make it look 4.5 inches, And you can see it from up close) Though im sure a can of black spray paint will fix that

pmed you.

No, I meant I'm going to clear coat it before I even put it on to help prevent rust.

In my head I heard someone cough something into their hand...You know when someone coughs "bull$#!+" into their hand?

Anyway, I'm about to go buy $#!+ I shouldn't eat...chips and salsa and stuff like that.

Done what with good results? Eat salsa and chips, cough into their hand or clear coat the exhaust?

I can't imagine how well that would work. The exhaust can get quite hot, especially if you get close enough to the exhaust port. I wouldn't bother with it. I'd just put it on and enjoy it. In a couple of years, you'll probably end up:

1. selling the car
2. getting tired of the exhaust and swapping it out

BTW, TXS is a reputable company that makes good products. They do have this odd business model where their exhaust can only be mated with only their own parts, at least from what I have seen. The Suby parts were that way and so is the 350Z. I suppose it's a way of assuring returning customers. I can see that working for and against them. Anyways...from my searching, it looks like one of the better sounding pieces out there.

Clear coated their exhaust. They actually make high temp clear coat for applications such as exhaust. Worse case I lose $10 if it doesn't help.

And I doubt if I'm selling my Z anytime soon.

not true..what you are seeing in some pics is the removable silencers that are used to keep sound quieter. You can remove them if you choose, and the tips look like an OEM type, or a variety of aftermarket types, where it's just open inside

Resurrecting this thread from 2009 -- Sorry.

But I am looking for a Used Nismo Exhaust..and my budget is $500-$600 dollars (yeah low I know).. hence used. Saw this pop up when I looked for "Nismo replica's, knockoffs".. And went to the site,.. but from what I can tell they just totally don't sell any 350Z parts period anymore.

So is this exhaust just not available to buy, and did anyone ever grab one to see how it was?

Lastly,.. Are there any Nismo "knock-off's/Replica's" In the $500-$700 pricerange? I'm going for the sound,.. I'm not a Nismo "fanboi" so I don't need the logo. (But if anyone is selling a used Nismo Exhaust , PM the hell out of me, lol.

Thanks (and sorry for the Resurrection)
