Default APS plenum vs Motordyne space

Hey so im gonna be getting either one of these and im just wondering what would be the benefit of going with the full plenum over just the spacer. The difference in price is only going to be about 200 installed, so if the actual plenum makes more power than the spacer then I might as well go with that.

Btw this is on a n/a stock Z so far besides an intake. Def going to be doing an exhaust/hfc a little down the road

05' Z non rev-up

Honestly I would go with the Motordyne 5/16th Spacers or Z1 Plenum spacer. Spacers are relatively easy to install so you wouldn't have to pay for installation. After you get a high quality exhaust and hfc I would get a tune.

You would have to get a new strut tower brace if you went with the APS.

The MREV2 by itself on a non-revup engine makes gains similar to the spacer.

Below is a comparison of Stock Vs Spacer Vs MREV2 Vs Spacer with MREV2. All of this testing was performed on a 2004 G35 Sedan with the non-revup engine.

Some of the analysis may be a little confusing but take your time reviewing it and let me know if you have any questions.

Also see this link to an independent test on a NON-REVUP engine.

Default non-rev

So can we please get a little more specific, I gots a 04 5at non-rev Stock. PLenty of money to spend on parts, but not going with turbo or supercharge. But I just can't get a good response on spacer/manifold. Whats best motordyne manifold? 5/16 spacer? cosworth manifold? or motordyne and 5/16 spacer. Please help its the first mod I want to do, but need help choosing and why. Allready went through charts and posts

From what Ive read and what Im going to do (also have 04.5 non-rev) the 5/16 spacer is ur best deal. Your only going to get maybe 2 more HP by going with a new plenum which isnt worth the money.
