Default Test pipes: SES/CEL light even with CEL fix

hey guys, i just installed my titek test pipes which came with the CEL fix and i still manage to have that SES light come on. It doesnt appear right away but appears after like 50-100 miles. I resetted my ecu and it still pops up after that many miles. I have a 2004.5 Z. Is the CEL fix (non foulers) a DEFINITE fix to prevent the SES from coming on? I tried to go to autozone and kragen for the diagnostic code but they no longer are allowed to check it anymore :[ I'm pretty sure its the O2 sensors that are triggering the SES light but can anyone give any more input on this? Will running with that light on effect anything? Thanks!

first what are the codes. second i have not seen the titek test pipes to see how there built in fix is made. does it extend off the pipe and have a big hole or a little hole. depending on your codes it could be a leak from the manifolds to the test pipes. start your car with it jacked up and on jack stands for saftey and see if you feel anything.

i wasn't able to get the codes since autozone/kragen aren't allowed to diagnose vehicles anymore. if i went to a shop they would charge me a good amount. the fix that it came with is basically a regular homemade non foulers. according to my friends who have evos, they said that the non foulers they use are longer than the ones i used and could be the reason why the light comes on. but i dunno.

ok i understand what you are saying with the non fouler they put on. but take the o2 sensor out and shine a flashlight in the hole. see if it is a big open hole or if it has a little hole like the homemade non fouler does.

its nothing serious. didnt know that autozone didnt diagnose anymore . That sucks, if that is the code your throwing you wont hurt anything. The only problem is you wont realize if you are throwing another at the same time.

You have to get the code to know what to fix.

It could very well be a air leak too.

Probably.

Ask them how much it will be first. You can probably buy a code scanner for less at pepboys.
