Default Test Pipe Question

I went and searched "test pipe reviews" and read all of them. One distinct thing that I noticed that they all say that there is a "bad smell". Is this inside of the cabin? Or just outside of the car? I would like to hear people who have test pipes of their thoughts on this. Whether it is a smell you get use to and isn't all the bad or if its just nasty and worth getting highflow cats instead.

1 - yes/no
2 - yes/no
3 - if you want HFCs, get HFCs.

Test pipes don't smell nearly as bad as people make it out to be. It is overrated. There is a little smell but it's not bad at all. I say go for it!

You get a little bit of a rich fuel smell. It's nothing severe and not noticed inside the car at all unless you happen to be sitting in traffic for extended periods.

Ya I was mainly wondering about the smell inside the cabin. I could care less what it's going to smell like outside the car. Oh and I was wondering if JVT Headers and Test Pipes will mate up with Borla True Dual exhaust?

Properly installed test pipe does not leak. Doesn't make any smell.

Sweet deal. Thats good information. Thanks guys. I'm debating whether or not to do the header install myself. I think I'm going to take it to a shop and be a wuss..It looks pretty intensive and I don't want to mess anything up.
