Sounds like a lot of drone to me.. I wanted one of the motordyne exhaust systems but I dont know now . I not liking the sounds at all. Just sounds like its dead, I need something with more character.

I think my crappy camcorder is not giving you the real experience. Once you get up to whatever speed, I have not experienced drone. Now, while your getting up to speed around 3k-5 its aggressive and LOUD. If I owned a hi def camcorder maybe the experience would be a little different. I had a friend comment the other day that it sounded like a exotic while going under a bridge ripping it. At idle it does not sound "airy" like my HKS did, this one has a constant tone. Ill try and make another vid once I get my bumper back from paint and it stops raining.

The only exhaust I can say this exhaust sounds like is the Bassani with HFC or test pipes.

^^^^ So do you have the xyz pipe along with the dual shockwave ? If so throwing tp on it with the straight pipe adaptor for the xyz would make it pure audible bliss imo.

how can you get more character! i usually only listen to exhausts on youtube because around me has a nice exhaust, and the md next to the nismo s tune is the best sounding exhaust for the z, power gains aside. the have a great tone and hold that tone till redline, unlike other exhausts ive seen which sound crappy up top, hats off to you rob because you deff just made up my mind for what catback i want, all i would do different is getting some test pipes!

For everyone looking to get this exhaust just a 411 it sounds amazing in person. I got to hear Rob's at the SFZCC meet/BBQ and it is NASTY!!!! He was driving next to me on the FL turnpike and it sounds like any other Z when crusing but roars at WOT. Doesnt have that tin can/rattle like some exhaust system put out. If you want your car to sound like a V8 then get it!

Thanks guys. Since this exhaust seems to be quieting down some since it has broken in, I may start looking for a set of HFC. I know that test pipes would be unbearable for me.

There is only a few of these out that I know of. The diameter is 2.5 to 3" towards the tips I believe.
