Default strut bar issue with 5/16" plenum spacer

so i put my motordyne 5/16" plenum spacer on last night no problem, but when i was putting the strut bar back on it was resting right on the plenum. So i'm rolling with no strut bar for now, so what are my options??? The kit didn't come with strut bar spacers, and I thought the 5/16" plenum spacer didnt need strut bar spacers, but i could be wrong. Does the strut bar really make a difference??? And where can I get the spacers from and what size??? Also what mod next, i have a popcharger, plenum spacer, hks exhaust...

Im going to guess getting your ECU flashed/Tuned, changing your suspension and new wheels?

as for the plenum, try this
http://www.motordyneengineering.com/manual.pdf
look at page 8 of 9 for Strut Bar Reinstallation and Adjustment for 350Z:

I believe it should have come with strut bar spacers - they're in the parts list....

Surprised. I have the Motordyne 5/16 Plenum Spacer. It came with spacers.

get a bunch of the same size washers, and stack them under the bar.

Yes, when you use the spacer on the Z, you must also use the strut bar spacers if you want the strut bar to fit.

Did you order the 350Z or G35 kit?

Just call the supplier, tell them you didn't get the spacers, and have them ship them to you....overnight.

I ordered the same Motordyne plenum spacer, and it definitely comes with spacers.

Just go to home depot and pick up some washers and prop it up, no big deal. Mine has 3 washers under to give me the room. You can't see them unless you lay down really low and look.

Motordyne is on the ball, thanks a lot!!!

And is it a perfect fit, or is their an issue with the hood hitting the strut bar, or how does this work? What have you guys found?

What are the size/dimension of the bolts and the nut that go to the strut bar? They are not metric from what I can tell. They seem to be standard, I went to ace and i forgot to write it down. I want to order chrome bolts online and this is the only bolts I have left to put in the cart. I am having a hard time trying to figure this out.

The ones that come with the spacer kit are Metric M10 bolts 30mm long @ 1.25 thread pitch.

^Take the little rubber stops off of the hood...you shouldn't have any more problems.

use 16 3/8 washers...2 for each of the 6 bolts and 2 for each of the small nuts...that will clear you without rubbing the plenum or the hood. im running the exact setup as you but with the ARC strut bar. next time search more...vo7848 did a DIY spacer install, thats how i found out what to use.
