Smile Y-Pipe Choices

Ok, guys. I need some honest feedbacks before i pull the trigger on a Y-pipe. Yes, i did search on a few. And i have narrowed down to three y-pipes to Ichiba, JIC, and Tanabe. I just needed some real life feedback on how these Y-pipes perform before i go a head and place an order. Obviously, Ichiba is the least expensive of the bunch. And it looks exactly like the Nismo setup. Jic and Tanabe are both darn nice nice, but is it justified to pay additional few hundred dollars? Please be as honest as possible in response to this thread because i don't want to hear, " JIC for sure, or Tanabe is the shiet!" Thanks guys!!

You know, I've actually looked at the Motordyne Y-Pipe. The only drawback is the clamp style setup with the interchangeable pipes, which, in the long run, can result in exhaust leak. I'd rather stay with one piece Y-pipe than the multi-piece Y-pipe. But thank you for your input...

3 years and 35k miles use and abuse on my JIC Y-pipe. I installed v1 Crawford HFC's and Apexi PS Revolution exhaust at the same time. Never had an exhaust leak, never had my HFC's crack.

Worth every penny IMO.

the Ichiba works well for a low priced unit...and no issues with the flex sections like on the NISMO

the Tanabe one is also excellent

Guess you've never dealt with a V band clamp before. You will have problems with the normal flange sections long before a V band problem.

HR y-pipe off the 07+ 350Z. Period. OEM fitment and quality, great improvement in throttle response, nice sound increase, and no ricer raspy sounds.
