Default Any Bassani owners with rattling problems read here.....

Well today I decided to get the covers off the car and address an issue that bothered me since I installed the Bassani ehxaust system last year. A number of you stated that you were experiencing clearance issues from the passenger side pipe that goes over the sway bar. I too had the same problem and it was ANNOYING! For those of you that DIDN'T have clearance issues, congrats...... I've learned form years in manufacturing that not every part is made exactly the same, this might be the case. Anyhow, rotating the pipe DID NOT work on my system! So I figured if I could somehow raise the pasenger side up, clearance would be ok. So what I did was take a hose clamp and fit it around the rubber hanger by the axle and started tightening. Before I did this the pipe was laying on the sway bar, after I was able to get about 1/4" clearance!! It's not the most attractive looking thing, I'm sure a black nylon tie wrap would work, also, or spray paint the clamp black. Hope this helps!!!

Have you driven it around any after you installed it? Did it fix the rattling for you?

or you could of wrapped the swaybar with heat wrap where it was hitting the exhaust and that would of stopped the rattle as well.

This is true, but it technically would still be rubbing. It's just the faint thumping sound that was so annoying.

Thanks, I have the same problem, but it looks like mine is newer than yours, the hanger tab is not bent like yours, and I have an aftermarket sway bar as well. I'll keep your idea in mind when I get under there this weekend.

I have this problem, and i used headers wrap and those crazy oven mitts LOL i kno i kno lol. So far so good. As for the Bassani + HFC, i had that setup but with resonated TP and it sounded 100000000000X better than with stock cats. It just sounds like an FI car, so exotic lol. Now i have non resonated and its considerably raspier now, still sound good but not like before.
