JTW Pop Charger or K&N Typhoon ??????????
The JTW Pop Charger runs about $110 and the K&N Typhoon runs about $255. I cant find pics of where the filter is located though on the typhoon set up. pics if you have them please. In your opinion, which would you choose and why?

i really dont care about the people who just get on here to "flame" other people. i mean i heard the stock intake was better but i mean i was only asking a simple opinion question and if people have nothing better to do than bag on me for asking... then so be it. but thanks for your input

Flamed?
Talk about getting flamed. I won't be that guy but.... call Jim Wolfe at JWT or any of his techs and you will get a better idea of just how WRONG you are my friend. Yes... JWT is in Socal (SD). So, take your OC phone, give a call and get some REAL KNOWLEDGE...

Does this make any noticeable gains. I've become increasingly intrigued by this design over the last few weeks as an alternative to a CAI or a duct through my bumper. All three seem like they would do the trick, but I'm curious is one is noticeably better than the other.

No offense, but you can't really compare a popcharger, mrev2, and 5/16 spacer to a stock intake. Of course you'll have more power with all those mods.
There have been posts by reputable shops that compared the stock air box to other intakes on the dyno and in every one I've read the stock intake has come out on top. I'm not sure if the pop charger was one of those or not though.
...which leads me to the part where I tell you to search OP. Even if you don't find a comparison you'll likely find some stuff about oiled filters like the one in the K&N

drewsum, i couldnt find your typhoon pics in your photo album. idk if im blind or whats wrong. i think i have decided to go with the pop charger because of the price. im going to add an air duct also for a direct flow of air.

Hmmmm... Typhoon looks like using the same concept as the stock intake on my 99 maxima se it had the regular airbox and also the scoop attached aimed directly through grill like a ram intake. nice nice I may look into this. Does it increase sound?

yes the typhoon gives better sound than stock on a 350z. i cant say for sure on a maxima but im sure it does. as for the pop charger... you can find it on multiple sites for 110 but i used http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/350z09a/11-2949 but it does not include the tube.

Do yourself a favor, don't waste money on an aftermarket intake. No proven gains/power loss. But if you want it just for the sound/looks then be my guest. I suggest you get an 06 stock airbox and k&n drop-in filter and call it a day.
