if you think you sprayed too much than just wash it again and start over

Yeah that sound's like way too much. If it's just a little extra, hang it upside down and spin it with your arm. Should even it out.

The "More is better" philosophy does not work well when oiling a filter. The possible downside of too much oil is fouling the MAF sensor.

well you guys were to late.... i had to use it to get to work. But i let it sit over night and it seemed fine. the foam was kinda me exagerating it wasnt foaming terribly. just alittle. im not to worried i just get unsure. im going to check it before i leave work and see if theres any sighn of oil in the intake tube. the problem with washing and reoiling is i had to work at 5 am and it take like 8 hours to dry. and it was 11 so 2 hours to short. im probley going to check my censor also and if theres red oil ill spray it clean. it just sux because i already had to clean my maf and throttle body soon after i bought the filter.

I have 2 filters for this exact reason, besides being able to make sure I am not coating my MAF with the oil I can quickly replace the filter and be done with the yob. I usually clean the filtet that just came off the Z and place it in a zip lock 1lb bag till needed.

I used to swap in my OEM airbox every time I cleaned my popcharger filter, but I think I am going to follow your lead and buy a 2nd filter. Much easier and no worries about running out of time and having to drive with a wet or over-oiled filter.

Took me a while to figure this out, think I will be changing my filter this upcoming weekend.
