Default Reply from B&B regarding headers

Victor, Nissan 350Z headers are sold exclusively through the parts department
of Nissan dealerships. They sell under the brand name of Nismo. Thanks for your
inquiry.

JSC has them (B&B) for $925 :

Compared to the Courtesy Parts "Official" Nismo at $1295:

Look similar (provided JSC has the correct pic) but, I think that they *may* actually be different...

Reply from JSC Speed regarding B&B headers.

They don't have any in stock but their supplier can get them.

They said they would be interested in setting up a group purchase if enought people decide to get them.

They will contact me tomorrow to let me know if they can get these FO SHIZZLE.

Mike, can you inquire if there is any chance that this would work for the G Cpe as well when you speak to them? Thanks!

I believe they fit. I think the only thing different between the G and Z is the pipe length on a certain part of the cat-back. I will ask for you tomorrow, just for sure, but I doubt they will have a definite answer.

They do look real similar in construction, the thing to do would be to measure them, since you can't tell lengths from pictures.

Mmmmmm. B&B headers to go with my B&B exhaust. Too bad they're shorties, but it's looking like I may have to go with what's available. Awwwe, who cares! It's B&B!

Am I the only one that thinks it looks like a bunch of small pieces welded together? It looks sloppy! Why would you want these? Is there something I'm missing? Borla headers look smoother and are cheaper, what's the deal?

The reason you will see "breaks" in the tubing where they were welded is usually because of compound bending. These headers are a little more complex than the Borlas.

Generally you need to have a seam when 2 different bends are too close to eachother and the mandrel bender doesnt have room for its clamps, so they do 2 different bends then weld the pieces together. Although on these pictured, there are a couple seams that could be done away with.

The Veilside headers are the smoothest looking to me, and I realize they cost much more so what's the deal with that?

That is exactly what I noticed when I first compared the pics. I would bet that the B&B pipes are just shy of having equal length primaries.

Reply from JSC Speed........

they can't get it anymore because they stopped shipping them out to vendors, only to dealerships now or NISMO dealers.

They are only sold as NISMO now.

That means $300 hike.

hehe... another domestic convert... welcome to the real world!

Thing to remember though, there are more brands than B&B, Hooker, Borla, and SLP.
