my girlfriend told me yesterday she heard me coming (back to the house)from several blocks away. all i know is, at wot with the windows down, its pretty damn loud. under 2k rpm and part throttle its not so bad, its pretty quite when off the throttle though so you can be quiet if need be.
7krpm + wot + windows down = sonic boom

It's loud. My buddy has the HKS true duals and when we both get on it all you can hear is my Agency Power...lol. But seriously, I initially thought that it was way too loud but now that I'm used to it; I really like it.

Since I am not purchasing a y-pipe at this moment, will I have to buy a reducer for the Agency Power CB since the exhaust pipe is bigger, or is the exhaust reduced down to fit the stock y-pipe?

noob question, but doesn't cat-back mean an exhaust from the catalytic converter down. so a cat-back exhaust would include the y pipe, mid pipe and muffler(rear section)?

yes, thats correct.
the agency power however is a y pipe back system, even though its listed as a catback.
i wouldnt buy it unless you can scrounge another 138$ for the megan y pipe.

This may be a stupid question...but why replace the Y pipe? What do you gain from doing that?

Even if it's bigger, it can't make enough of a change in flow to make a difference worth the expense or effort for the change. I could see if you were going to change the headers and also the cats to hf cats, then I could see changing the y pipe. But just changing the y pipe will not really get rid of the bottle necks at the headers and cats. I could see maybe enough change to change the sound slightly but man, this thing IS loud enough by itself.

^^ Yeah thats exactly what I was thinking. I didnt want to have to buy anything else after I bought this thing. I usually go the cheap route but this time im not. I know in the long run it will benefit me more. I got my exhaust for $755 shipped. How bout you guys?
