Default Long tube headers

Hey what's up fellas, I want to see if any of you guys may have or know where to get some. I've searched and can't seem to find any that will fit the Z. Checked with Megan(I know)and they only fit the G(rubs on passenger side)and can only find shorties. Any help appreciated!

You have not found a long tube header thread in 16 months? Sad.

SG Motorsports long tubes will run you $2k+, but are worth every penny...

I found plenty of threads but mostly only talk, or for G35's some with Z's but won't show where they got them. And who's talking about 16months I just started looking for these about a week ago. Just keep your ignorant comments to yourself. Thanks

The first three are the same, if not based off the xerd which have not been available anymore for quite some time. The bends are not that great on any of them, especially the megan and obx versions. (haven't seen the xerd firsthand so I don't know)

SG longtubes are not available to the public yet and are really the only TRUE longtube option

Crawfords are one of the oldest designs available. They are equal length but bolt up to the existing cat location. Difficult install and didn't clear my 06 steering rack.

In summary, the best option is to wait for SG or just get shorties and be done with it.

Not to knock SG long tubes but holy f!@$k 2k . For what may be minimal gains , to have a use a total custom exhaust even more $$$$$. Thats more than half way to the price of a turbo or sc kit. Just my 2cents.

I don't remember them setting a price officially yet. As far as I remember seeing, their headers replaced cats only... meaning ALL catbacks, single or dual, should fit.

You're right. The gains pale in comparison to FI but following that thinking, why not save almost a grand and just go nitrous? NA is not for everyone.

^^^ You made some seriously good points. Do you have any more info on those headers. I have tried and came up with nothing. Would like to validate that they only replace the cats.

That's the biggest reason why I believe they will bolt up to any existing catback or y pipe. The 2nd and 3rd picture clearly show the stock y-pipe being used on the jig when they were welding together everything.

They did end up making their own 3.5" y-pipe, but it looks like the stock one would bolt right up. (stock exhaust isn't a very good idea with headers like those)

Later on that thread posted by sgsash

"The headers will be going back to the factory y-pipe flange location, so they will bolt up to any aftermarket y-pipe or exhaust. The only other thing remaining is the O2 sensor bungs. Because the primaries will all be seperate at the first primary O2, we will not reccomend using the stock O2's for tuning, as you will be effectively only monitoring 2 of 6 cylinders. We reccomend putting 2 seperate widebands after the collectors for tuning. An alternative option we have is to make extension harnesses that will clip into the engine harness and the primary O2s, simply extending them to after the collectors where they will then be sampling the mixture from all cylinders.

We will then also need an O2 simulator put in place for the rear O2s, so they do not throw a CEL. "
