Quick and easy question (I hope)
I really hope this hasn't been asked before. I actually did do a search and couldn't find anything...
After I purchase my wheels/tires I'll be getting an exhaust and HFC. My question is:
What is the diameter of the stock piping on a 350Z? 2"? I was looking at various aftermarket catback exhaust systems and they range from 2.25" - 3" for the ones I'm interested in.
Thanks in advance.

The factory exhaust is 60mm, or about 2.36". The inside area of two 2.25" pipes is 7.95 square inches, while a single 3" pipe is 7.07 square inches. A single pipe will have less frictional losses than 2 pipes, so the differences in area are small. I agree with Zilverstone that there are a lot of other factors to consider.
