Magnaflow duh!!
Car : 03 350Z with 10k. bone stock.
Lately, I purchased a complete Magnaflow y-pipe back exhaust. I previously had Magnaflows on my 1.8T Audi and it sounded great.
However, after 600 miles, my Magnaflow cat-back still sound like stock on my 350z. Its even maybe quieter. Dont get me wrong, I dont want a straight pipe diesel truck sound, but this exhaust dont do the job.
1. Do I go with test pipes ^
2. Do I simply change the exhaust for something more mean , any suggestions
Thanks

Test pipes or HFC will do it.
You probably just got used to the sound. I don't know of any exhausts that get quieter with time... it's usually the other way around. Compare it to a stock Z side by side if possible since that would be pretty interesting if Magnaflows do in fact get quieter.

You said you have a "y-pipe" back?
That means it's just the pipe going back from the stock y-pipe and a muffler?
It's not going to be loud because you're essentially muffling what is a stock system (sans eliminating the stock mid-muffler). You probably just dropped the exhaust note a little lower, but the engine will still scream up top.
Unless I read you wrong, you need something with an aftermarket Y-pipe to increase sound/ power.
