pulling the motor is a good tip if you have a lift
but there is a coolant pipe over the passenger side exhaust manifold
remove it from the other hard pipe with a 12mm and you can get to all the studs more easily

i just did my set of headers 2 days ago

ok disconnected the battery and also checked out all the bolts on the headers. found out that some were loose. soo i just retighten them, also rechecked other bolts and gave it a test drive.

i certainly dont have the SES on soo, its good for now. hopefully that fix the header leak.

Is it possible to do the install without removing the engine?

yeah thats how i did mine..i was going to pull the motor just so i didnt have to fight if it had problems. then again i have a lift i can use and it make is easy..takes the same amount of time either pulling the motor or just doing them in the car
