Default exhaust safety question

So, I have a bit of an odd question maybe you guys can help out with...
I'm currently running the Injen SES1986TT exhaust on my Z. It turns out one of the tip pieces is defective (guy at Injen thinks its a case of mismatched 350Z and G35 pieces) and causes a fitment issue, so I'll be sending it back to Injen to be corrected. This means I'll have to either be without a car for a couple weeks, or drive around with a missing pipe.

ANYWAY, other than looking silly, and being hella loud, can anyone forsee any other issues with running full exhaust on the driver's side and open midpipe on the passenger's?

The end of the midpipe clears the differential housing and is aimed slightly downward when installed. (pictures below for reference)

The passenger side pointed down at the ground?
Probably not a problem... but never say never.

For safely, and the law, the exhaust must exit AFTER the rear axle.

Yeah hydra, the passenger side midpipe exit points slightly down and toward the center of the car ...but I really don't expect it to be a huge problem, as long as im not idling for a long time and exhaust gasses are allowed to build up in the cavity where the big fat stock muffler used to be.

Technically, david, it will be exiting just after the rear axle, as it passes the differential slightly

Although I keep having these visions of exhaust heating up my gas tank and making my Z explode :P

If it makes you feel any better, i run an exhaust dump where that "void" area is. I've goone all day, including sittign in traffic, with zero issues for two years now. So you should be fine!
