Default Stillen claims 55whp with intake, hfc, and catback

Just saw this ad in the most recent issue of Nissan Sport and had to say ORLY?!:

I know HP claims are usually biased/listed at crank but this ad says it was independently verified? Anyone know by who? Did it require tuning to reach these numbers?

intake: $549
exhaust: $1575
hfc: $573
末末末末末末末末
total: $2697 for 55 whp

I sorta believe it from seeing all the amazing dyno results of 370's with boltons.

Maybe not 55 but close.

The VQ37 responds much better to mods, but 55 whp does seem a little bit extreme.

Believe it or not, we independently tested this setup with similar results. Only difference was that we ran the Berk Hi Flows, instead of Stillen.

Yeah, I would usually call BS, but this is 100% true.

Sharif what has been the average baseline for the 37 on your dyno?

Here are my findings on our Dyno Dynamics Dyno....other dynos will vary.

Stock G37 Coupe: 250whp
Stock 370Z: 250whp

But the 370Z picks up way more power with bolt ons. For instance, high flows and cat back on a G37 yields 270whp, vs. 290whp on the 370Z. Add intake to the G37, and pick up next to nothing. Add intake to the 370Z, and you are over 300whp!

Stillen should do a group buy for all 3 mods for $2000. That would be a hell of a deal!

Any ideas what causes the extra jump in power on the 370 being essentially the same motor. . ?

If Sharif says its good, dang I'm sold.
I agree they should do a group purchase on it.
I am still going to get the Berk Test pipes and get a bit more..

This is impressive I admit. I would get a different exhaust though and HFC. the intake I know has been proven to add hp.

So this is without a tune? Was the car you worked on running dangerously lean at all?

Actually the g37 picks up some good power with just Intake and HFC...and I saw it proven on a DynoDynamics...294...so it can easily get over 300 with a catback.
