sit in front of the grill like the injen does?? Anyone have pictures?

Actually, with a slight modification I prefer it where it's at. The mod is to remove the plastic divider between the radiator intake area and the wheel well.

With this mod the filter is out of the straight-line path of all the crap flying in there, but it still benefits from the positive pressure of the air being pushed into the grill area.

I was at the track a week ago, driving hard. Although I couldn't do any before-and-after, I definitely did NOT have any problems getting power. The CAI was breathing just fine with that divider removed.
