Gentlemen: Until death, we can argue the reasons for polishing metals. Frankly, I am quite surprised by the pessimism. Have a wonderful day.

I think they are pretty!
Its funny those guy's make that remark, as in the aftermarket exhaust they bought were most likely polished from the factory, and tarnished over time. And you better damn well know you payed for that polishing up front!
Either way, looks good!

A polish won't stop the heat discoloration but at least from a metallurgical point of view, a good polish does offer better resistance to corrosion, pitting and cracking.
The problem with the cracking aspect is that it is hard to polish the areas that are most likely to start the crack.

For fellow forum bros that are not familiar with how Berk HFCs are sold, below is a stock photo. As you can see, the cans are not polished, only the pipes. I only finished what they started.
As Hydrazine stated, those are some of the reasons why I had them polished. Also, it is more aesthetically pleasing to look at. LOL, gotta pay attention to detail... Remembering B.T. days, as my D.I. use to say, "M$ther f@c#er. Pay attention to detail! Ya'll lookin like a smacked ***! All over the place! What?! Start pushin!"

you can try to justify it all you want, what it comes down to is you polished a part that will a) never be seen again once you install the part, which defeats your "attention to detail" and pleasing to look at reasoning and b) will not look like that after a few hundred miles anyway because of heat.

They turned out awesome! Not being a *** here but if your going to the extent of this, turn your car into a show car and nobody would say a thing about it. I agree i would never put the effort into this as I dont show my car and would never see it. If you go to this extent to make a mod shine, I comend you my friend because the rest of your car must be cherry!
