I just want to know if the Cusco OS strut bar clear the 5/16 motordyne spacer without touching the hood????

you should be fine, you might have to put the spacers under the strut bar to raise it but it should clear it without touching the hood

 

sorry lol I made a mistake... I want to know if the cusco and JIC strut bar will clear the 1/2 motordyne spacer without rubbing the hood

 

i'd still suggest spacers for ur strut bar..

 

My Cusco clears the 5/16 plenum spacer and does not touch the hood WITHOUT the spacers.

 

even the OEM ones clears it out on 5/16.. but he's referring to 1/2 spacer..

 

Yup, just throwing it out there as a point of reference.

 

neither of those will fit. the aps strut bar will fit and i think there is another one but i forget what it is.

 

i have a 5/16 spacer, and the stock strut bar rubs my intake manifold.

 

Turn the tensioner bolt on the strut bar. That will give you more clearance.

See the last few pages of the installation manual. It will show you how to do it.

 

Yes, Cusco bar WILL fit.

How is that possible?? I have the 5/16 and mine clears the plenum by mear millimeters with the spacers in.

my cusco mounts rubbed on my hood with the spacers installed...back to the stock bar for me

 

Each car come from the factory a little different from the other. Its a normal tolerance variation in how the engine sits in the engine compartment.

Motormouth was able to fit a 1/2" plenum spacer under the strut bar. WITHOUT STRUT BAR SPACERS!

But that is a very rare occurrence.
