Default Removing Kinetix Plenum (How?)

Hey guys...in light of the recent thread about painting a Kinetix Pleum cover I wanted to know how to safely remove one and paint it?

Is there a DIY for removing the Kinetix and what types of paints and high gloss clear coats are recommended for after? Thanks!

Motordyne has instructions for installing their plenum spacer. Same thing.

Let me clarify...obviously you can unbolt the top of it with a socket wrench. My question is what is inside there and is there anything I can screw up by unbolting it and then bolting it back on? Thanks!

Piece of cake. Just unbolt it and it opens up like a clam shell.

Is it unsafe to drive around while the Kinetix plenum cover is "off"...or is this a major bad idea?

Impossible. The only way you could do that is if you put the stock parts back on while you paint your K plenum
