Default o2 sensor

hey guys, i have several odb2 codes for my car going off, P0157, P0158, and P0159, all having to do with the O2sensor. Ive already had to replace one and I did it at the dealer... learned my lesson the hard way. Anyway im going to get her up on jack stands and have a look on my next day off to see what the exact problem is, but my question is, what is a good brand to replace the o2 sensor with? also is it just me or are there a lot of problems with the o2 sensors? And just to make sure, somewhere down the line i plan on getting high flow cats for my car, an aftermarket o2 will work for that right?

thanks in advance
Justin

Oxygen sensor codes may indicate other problems. In other words the oxygen sensor is reading outside the acceptable range.

How many miles are on your car?

there are about 33-34k on the car at the moment. I wasnt going to order a new o2 sensor until i got a look under the car to make sure thats what it was. I was just curious as to what a good brand was... what are some of the other problems that could be causing that code to go off?

thanks

34,000 is too few miles to be replacing sensors. Something is fouling the sensors. I am disappointed that NISSAN does not fix the problem for free.

I have moved the sensors from the OEM catalytic converter to high-flow catelitic converter. From high-flow catalytic converter to test pipes. 69,000 miles and they are fine.

well like i said im not going to be doin anything until i get under the car for a look myself. I think that ill do that tomorrow since i have the day off. The first time i had to change the sensor, i took it to the dealer and it looked like someone had cut the wires on it, not sure but the guy suggested that someone might have tried stealing my cats... again i dont know. So i guess ill let you know what i find tomorrow when i take a look.

Ok, well I reset the light and it went away for the night, but its back as of this morning... So I guess my best bet is to take it to a dealer but I'll do as stated and try a different one and then go from there

ok well its been a while since ive posted... anyways i took it in to the shop to see what they had to say about it. The mechanic told me that a rat had chewed through the o2 sensor wire and that it would not be replaced under warranty and that i would have to pay like 400$ and another 300$ for the 30k service... needless to say id rather do all of that myself... so that brings me to my next question... What is a good brand of o2 sensors? i think ive heard bosch is a good one? any recommendations would be appreciated

thanks J

If you arent afraid of wires it'll only run you $25 for a universal sensor:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-B...Q5fAccessories

There's only 4 wires, and you'll be connecting it to the tail of the original plug, so its very easy to do once you pull the original plug/tail off the car.
