I have a couple questions about nismo exhaust and im sorry if any of this has been answered previously, but ive done some research and nothing jumped out at me.

Im thinking about buying someones used nismo exhaust that was taking off his nismo 350z. Does this exhaust differ from when people upgrade to "nismo" exhaust (not removed from a nismo), or is it the same thing? If different, what are the differences?

Lastly, will it fit with no modifications to a base 06 z?

I'm getting rid of my Nismo Exhaust.
The difference is the 5.25inch "NISMO" tips on the end.

The Nismo exhaust off an 07-08 is a pretty exhaust that sounds good, nothing more.

The nismo S-tune exhaust is a upgraded 2.5 inch y-pipe to 3 inch midpipe to muffler. Thats the one you want, and yes it will fit your car no problem.

like stated the nismo exhaust that comes on the nismo models is just a muffler and looks nice...the nismo cat back is very different from that and changes exhaust piping size and etc.i just had my nismo exhaust off and thought about selling it for a sec. but then decided not to cause i love it so much

 

understood! i have to buy exhaust in the next few weeks to throw on the salvaged 350 i picked up and am debating what to put on it. now i figure i might as well spend the bucks to get a catback with at least some gains.

 

the nismo muffler will have big tips that will really stick out from your rear bumper.

get the nismo catback exhaust, the tips are perfect and they match the Z so well.

 

i would love to, but i dunno if i can break down and spend that much money on exhaust...who has a used exhaust for me??
