My installer used some type of looped ratchet type tool (good description huh?) to pull the two pieces together and the leak went away.

I also read somewhere that one of the clamps is smaller than the others and that is the one to put on the H pipe. I didn't notice that during my install however.

I used an old U-Haul ratchet belt. Once the exhaust system was in place, I used the belt to pull the two sides together. Worked perfectly!

Yes the clamp for the H-pipe IS smaller than the others.

Victor, I can just picture you and your ole man kicking the $hit out of your exhaust – funny, funny.

There is always a hard way and an easy way to do things, no?

I think I'll just have my exhaust installed and the h-pipe welded at a body shop, it will be a lot easier since I don't have a lift...

that's good, welding it would be the best to get it sealed.

I've noticed that leaks at the joints are a common issue with the Borlas.

Welding would be a second option, as I am contemplating selling mine for the STILLEN SS EXHAUST. I saw the Stillens and they seem to be better made, solid joint connections, heavier gauge steel, definitely better quality material used.

The Borla joint clamps were sub standard; when I noticed them it was too late.
