Thanks bro. How much do you think that would cost? I'm gonna try silencers first, and if that doesn't work I might have to resort to what you said. Or just buy a y pipe, and hook up my old stock exhaust for the time being =( hehe I was hoping he would've said something like, "Nice car dude, get outta here, you're no civic, I have no business with you"

I'm pretty sure whenever a ticket is written there is a fine associated with it.

As far as silencers go, put one in, go to court, they look at it or not, take them off later, easy.

If they figure out what you got... They may send you to get emissions tested... CA is pretty tough on removing emissions related OEM equipment.. I can only imagine what a contrived violation would cost in fines.. Consider the best of the suggestions here & let you first effort to correct the situation be your best - the alternative is something I would not want to contemplate.

Still........... no one has told me if silencers do make a substantial difference in sound.

Thanks bro I might take you up on your offer if I find that the silencers do not work as well as I would hope.

I hope they don't make me rev my engine too much cuz then they will smell the fumes from not having cats and ask y it smells so bad

S'what I plan to do. I don't think I take my car to court, just the ticket signed by the officer or whoever saying it's ok.

Thanks for the advice and yes I would be scared of a fine for removing cats. thats a big one. I just hope since i know the segeant she will sign it off or pass me on to someone who will be leniant toward me.

Yes the alternative (I'm assuming you mean go stock everything) is something I don't ever want to consider

lol yeah tell me about it. I love how loud it is, just when i open her up on the street it is VERY noticeable. there is an M3 that drives by my apartment on a daily basis who sounds almost identical to me but the tone isn't quite as deep as mine

You wont have to go to court on 24th of september unless you want to dispute the fix-it ticket. Get it silenced, have an officer sign it off, take it to the traffic court window, pay the fix-it fine, and you are done.

Put your stock exhaust back on and pray they don't find your long tube headers.
