Question

OK do you think there is any chance that you can put the side exit right BEFORE the front door?

is there any negative effects to running a cat-back system with no muffler? Pretty much running straight pipes without cats.

On my WS6 TA I ran straight headers all the way back and it exited right b4 the rear drive axel (sp). It flowed through a cutout, when I didnt want it loud I would just close it up. Definatley not reccomended if you have an auto.

They make electric cutouts. Some of the LS1 guys have it b/c they are scared of the cops.

We all ready did it about a year ago. On this motor in a NA application.....the longer the exhaust the better. Witha side exit you will not be doing any favors.

Vs a side exit it will net more gains on a NA set up. Its just what the engine likes.

The side exit will only open at WOT or above a certain rpm when the normal exhaust's velocity is too low.

It works, and many nice car makers have been doing it for years. The new Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale has it, the exhaust opens up at 4000rpm and provides a boost in power and sounds way different. It's pretty crazy sounding, especially when you're in the car!
