Well lets just say this. I would to think your car will sound like race car inside because my brother 350z sounds like that with his exhaust.

yeah i could imagine. I like it how it is now but it would be interesting to see cause it does get quiet at times when i want it loud like cruising or when it really gets up in the revs. Idk why

To much rasp. Like a pissed off fighter jet in a tin can.

And I heard that backfire, which I know happens when ever you actually get down on the accelerator.

But what ev. Your car.

Dude i think this thing sounds great......But you are prob losing some TQ on the lowend. But yeah do some WOT launching (inside and outside) i would love to hear it. There is a guy on youtube who kept the stock cats and y pipe but put a straight pipes all the way back with tips on it. heres the video i also think this sounds great also (has that race car sound).

yeah his sounds good but its a de mines an hr. I think his is a little softer if he keept the resonator. I'll try to get some drive bys and some higher rev launches. What can i do to regain tq if i lost it.

Well you prob lose low end TQ but gain some HP on the top end. So the loss in TQ on the low end may not be a bad cause might be able to launch it better.

plus there's always the fact that people actually want to gain power, but to each his own.

be interesting to do a before and after dyno test cause other then that its just all skeptical on if it makes power or not. im guessing it makes more hp but less torque. but even the slightest change in hp or tq isn't going to be noticeable in a 300 plus hp car. if your exhaust is giving you 5 more hp it won't be noticable. The biggest reason why people do exhaust is for the sound. Exhaust systems give the most performance when your pushing big power.

People on my old car forum used to gut their OEM airboxes to get more sound. Obviously no performance gains there, but all it cost was a half hour of your day and it was perfectly acceptable. It was a 'fun' mod because it made the car louder. If you could have somehow proven that there was no power / torque lost after doing this modification, then I definitely would not have anything bad to say about it.

Ultimately if you are happy with the sound and you have fun driving the car, then I think it was worth your while. It doesn't look tacky and it's not a modification that cries for anyone's attention.

Would it have been feasible to put a 'y' pipe connection inside the muffler and then run pipes from the y to each of the stock outlet locations? This gives you 'straight' pipes (albeit with a y-connection in there) but retains the stock look.

will you make a vid with the camera sitting behind the car about 10 ft away so we can hear what it sounds like from outside the car?
